Alex is a recent graduate from the University of Ottawa, where he studied finance and completed four work terms at three different companies. His first co-op work term was as a BDR (business development representative) at a startup in Ottawa that did 3D scans of rental properties, homes, and infrastructure. After that, he found himself at Treefrog in 2022, where he found a passion for building financial models that could drive key business insights. The two work terms that followed were spent at Finance Canada, where he worked in Crypto Compliance Support and assisted in conducting audits for Canadian companies that sold cryptocurrencies. While there, and for the rest of his degree, he still spent some time each week working through finance-related projects at Treefrog until he finally joined the team full-time as a Financial Analyst upon graduating at the end of 2023.
When he’s not working, you can find Alex at the gym, on the slopes, or playing Forza Horizon on his racing simulator.
