Artificial intelligence, or AI, is largely misunderstood because of how it has been explained and portrayed in media and entertainment. AI is also referred to as “machine learning” and this is perhaps a better term for how it can help a business. Treefrog uses AI to improve the efficiency and function of applications that perform tasks for our clients. In this case the “machine” is a computer that is learning (the acquisition of information and rules for using the information), reasoning (using rules to reach approximate or definite conclusions) and self-correction. The end result is a solution that is constantly improving. AI is not suited to all situations and knowing when to employ it is a skill that the Frogs possess.
