With nearly a decade of system administration, design, and computer networking troubleshooting experience, Matthew Zimmerman is responsible for managing, maintaining, and monitoring Treefrog’s secure server cluster and virtual machines.
He brings to Treefrog a diverse hands-on technology skill set which includes experience working in satellite communications, telephony, and Linux and Windows server environments. Additionally, he is well-versed in switching and routing design and management, and disaster recovery policies and procedures.
He is a critical thinker who addresses technology-related issues calmly and with a positive attitude. Adaptable, analytical, and scrupulous, Matthew combines his strong interpersonal skills and a healthy sense of humour with an impressive ability to diagnose and resolve complex problems quickly.
Before Treefrog, he plied his trade at organizations such as NGR Home Solar, Niren & Associates, and NetAccess Systems. He credits four years he served in the Canadian Army Reserves as the foundation which triggered a lifelong interest in information technology.
In his private time, Matthew enjoys travelling throughout Canada and the United States to various craft beer festivals, watching documentaries, and reading about new technologies.
