After a 6-year hiatus from his hometown, Chris Kwapis is back in Newmarket, bringing his experiences and stories with him. A hard-working, disciplined workaholic, Chris is a product of the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics, where he specialized in Finance and International Business with a Minor in Psychology.
Following his years in school, he found himself at crossroads; “Do I want to pursue my CPA, file taxes, and audit for endless hours? Should I move abroad and put my International Business Degree to work? Should I find a job close to home for now so that I can keep a roof over my head?” he would think to himself.
Deciding that accounting was not for him, not having the budget to travel, and intrigued by the concept of keeping a roof over his head, Chris began working for a small software start-up at the University of Waterloo Small-Business Incubator. This is where he discovered his passion for sales.
After three months of success at the start-up, Chris stood out and was recruited for a quickly growing software business in the area. Joining as a Business Development Representative, he quickly worked his way up the ladder into an Account Executive position. This role gave Chris a background in the sale of complex software solutions to businesses worldwide (actually putting his international business degree to use).
Joining the Treefrog team as the Associate Director, Integrations Chris looks forward to helping businesses bring their digital strategy to the next level.
When he’s not working, you can find Chris running around Newmarket in the early hours of the morning, reading books on personal growth, or meditating (a new passion of his). If you can connect with him, don’t be too surprised when his enormous cat, Blue, jumps into the frame to say hello.
